Description
9m Clear Span — A Roof Like No Other
A multi-pitch polygon roof on a 48mm×110mm grade 6082-T6 aluminium frame. 2.4m eave height with a dramatic 4.89m ridge — the same 9m footprint as a standard marquee, with an interior that feels far taller. Extends in 3m bays from 6m to any length, rated to 60mph, and manufactured in Northamptonshire since 1990.

Why the Polygon is specified for events and hospitality
A roofline that makes a statement
The dual-pitch polygon profile — 43° at the lower rafter, 14° at the upper — creates a 4.89m ridge from a standard 2.4m eave. The same 9m footprint as a standard marquee, but an interior that feels dramatically taller and more spacious.
9m clear span — no internal columns
The full 9m width is usable floor space from wall to wall, with no intermediate posts or guy ropes. A fully flexible interior for any event configuration, from seated dinners to exhibitions.
Starts at 6m — extends in 3m bays
The structure starts at 6m long (2 bays) and extends indefinitely in 3m increments using the same components throughout. Start with what you need and add bays as your event or hire requirements grow.
Rated for lighting and rigging loads
Each A-frame supports up to 85kg from a single suspension point, or 170kg spread evenly across two points — giving useful capacity for lighting rigs, PA systems and suspended event equipment.
Fixed at 9m wide — start at 6m, extend in 3m bays
The Polygon is a single-span product: 9m wide, every time. Start at 6m long (2 bays) and add 3m bays to reach any length. The same polygon roof profile and components throughout — nothing changes as you extend.

How it goes up
The Polygon uses the same ground-level hinge assembly as the rest of the Hoecker range.
Build at ground level
Frames are assembled and connected while flat on the ground - no scaffolding, no working at height.
Hinge into position
The structure is hinged upward into its final shape one frame at a time, not built piece by piece in the air.
Weather seal
Individual roofs and walls are now fitted. Each piece with keder edges sealing watertight within the frame.

Fit it out for your space
Every Polygon is a starting point. Add what you need to make it work for your event, your venue, or your hire fleet — all from Hoecker stock.
Flooring Systems
Nordic pine Class A boards on a steel or timber substructure — two systems available. The full steel substructure is rated to 3.5kN/m² and includes integrated leg baseplates; the sub-floor system suits level ground and costs less. Both are modular to match your layout, and the sub-floor can be upgraded later.

Fabric linings transform the inside from bare PVC to a finished, polished space. Ideal for hospitality venues, weddings and corporate events where the interior look matters as much as the structure itself.

Single doors, double doors and bi-fold options give the gable ends a more solid, permanent feel while improving access and ventilation. Glazed panels let light in and raise the perceived quality of the space.
View door optionsGlazed Windows
PVC or glazed window panels can be fitted into side walls to bring natural light into the structure without opening it up to the weather — particularly useful for semi-permanent or year-round installations.

Hoecker's own registered system: 40mm tongue-and-groove uPVC planks that slot into the marquee legs, achieving a thermal U-value of 2.22 W/m²K. A better-insulated, more permanent-looking alternative to soft PVC sides — modular in height to suit any leg configuration from 2.4m upwards.

Have your PVC cover printed with your logo, brand colours or event artwork. A clean way to make the structure a visible part of your venue or brand — popular with hospitality operators and hire companies who want a consistent look across their fleet.

In snow: clear regularly, or maintain an internal temperature of 12°C, to keep the structure within its rated load.
Frequently asked questions
A standard marquee has a single roof pitch running from eave to ridge. The Polygon has a dual-pitch profile — the lower rafter runs at 43° and the upper rafter at 14°, creating a steeper, more dramatic roof shape. From the same 2.4m eave height, this produces a ridge of 4.89m — roughly double the eave, compared to about 1.5× on a standard 9m marquee. The result is an interior that feels substantially taller and more spacious than the footprint suggests.
The Polygon starts at 6m long (2 bays of 3m each) and extends indefinitely in 3m increments. There is no practical upper limit on length — 9m, 12m, 30m, 60m and beyond all use exactly the same components.
Yes — the Polygon is fully clear span. There are no intermediate columns, posts or internal guy ropes. The entire 9m width is open floor space, with the striking roofline above providing the height rather than any internal structure.
Each A-frame supports up to 85kg from a single suspension point, or 170kg if the load is spread evenly across two points. Any rigging should be designed and checked by a qualified rigger against these limits.
Every Polygon ships with structural calculations covering wind loading (BS EN 1991-1-4:2005+A1:2010), tent safety (BS EN 13782:2015) and aluminium structure design (BS EN 1999 Eurocode 9), rated to 60mph. These are ready for your insurer, local authority, or any venue's risk assessor.
